Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's mother Aruna Bhatia is no more. She passed away due to age-related issues this morning. Akshay took to social media to inform his fans and followers of the tragic news. Her last rites were held at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle. She was cremated in the presence of Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Rohit Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh and others. Akshay shared a great bond with his mother. It is a difficult time for the actor and his family.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote, "She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti."

As per a report in BollywoodLife, a source close to the actor who attended the funeral of Aruna Bhatia said that the actor was inconsolable. "Akshay is very strong. He has seen so much in life. You will never find him weak, forget crying. But seeing him break down and cry like a little child at auntyji's funeral was heart-breaking," said the source. "It is an unbearable loss and no wonder Akshay is in a shattered state right now. Sadly, it is Akshay's birthday tomorrow and it will never be the same, with the most special person in his life, his mother gone just a day before his special day," added the source, according to BollywoodLife.
